Residential Lighting Design
Lighting Controls and Scene Design
A well-designed room with badly organised controls gets used at one setting — usually everything on. A wall of unlabelled switches, or an app that needs explaining, undoes the design.
Controls are a design problem, not a technology purchase: which lights belong together, what the house looks like at 7am versus 9pm, and how you get there without thinking. We design and document that intent; your electrician or integrator implements it.
The work
What we actually do.
Define dimming strategy and zones — what adjusts together, what stays apart.
Organise keypads around how people actually move through the house.
Design the scenes you will genuinely use, with real levels, not factory defaults.
Verify fixture-driver-control compatibility so dimming stays smooth to the bottom.
How this differs
Not what your electrician or showroom provides.
An integrator can program almost anything. We decide what it should do — the part that determines whether it gets used.
We are not an installer or integrator; we design the intent and the trades implement it.
Questions
Common questions.
Yes. We design the control layer — zones, keypads, dimming behaviour, and the scenes you will actually use. Your electrician or integrator implements and programs it.
